Turquoise Dreams pendant, choker, earrings and bracelet are going home with a collector of Reconfigured Art Jewelry who will be a beautiful model and who will wear it well! It makes me so happy when someone loves my work!
Hi friends, I've been accepted to the ArtWorks Foundation juried show Friday, May 24, 2013, through Sunday, May 26,
2013, at the Commodore Ballroom of Vanderbilt University’s Student Life
Center in Nashville! The Gala Preview is Friday, May 24, from 5 to 9
p.m. (tickets, $30 each); Saturday, May 25, show hours are 10
a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 26, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Entry for those days is $10. Also, take a peek at this gorgeous chrysocolla and crystal and green tourmaline that I discovered at the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show! I can hardly wait to create pendants with these glorious stones!
The Oceania pendant design features the theme sailing on the seas of life with the stones you would want on your journey: carnelian for energy, labradorite for intuition and amazonite for hope, wrapped in recycled copper and sterling silver. Now I'm designing the matching choker and earrings. Check back to see the exquisite set that you know is meant to be yours!
Perfect any time for the special person in your heart: Peruvian Pink Opal is so elegant, and this pair (50.3 carats) will be a dramatic earring set in sterling silver. The green tourmaline pair from the Himalaya Mine will become a sweet earring set -- green tourmaline brings joy! And at right, a moonstone from India with luxurious adularescence nestled in a geode with two small blue beads of chalcedony from Peru. Soon to be a Reconfigured Art Jewelry design that I will take such joy in creating!
This Sea Goddess brooch design of silver, lapis, crystals and azurite with Love Knot hand-dyed silk ribbons was created for a bride in Phoenix who loved it and asked for a separate set for herself as a keepsake! Choose your gemstones and silks in the bride's wedding colors at the Jan. 13 Forever Communication's Bridal Show "Engaging Moments," at the Carl Perkins Civic Center, noon to 5 p.m. Or choose RCF's sterling silver
Chatelaine belt buckles with gemstones and crystals to be worn with
hand-dyed silk sashes. The Chatelaine belt buckles are an RCF design by Jacque! You'll love the elegant silver that symbolizes a time of reflection
and illumination for the way forward. And so much more for the bride,
groom and the bridal party. See you there! (And here's a hint: If the dresses don't have a shoulder, all you need is double-sided body and clothing tape used by fashionistas everywhere!)
Since I created RCF in 2004, my jewelry designs have been featured in Art World News and on PBS TV "Tennessee Crossroads." I will be the featured artist at the Feminine Mystique Art Gallery in Tubac, AZ. in April 2013. My jewelry is shown in the Arizona Collector's Guide and has been chosen for many juried shows.
Auctioned at The Jackson Symphony's Crystal Ball: Necklace, pendant, earrings, bracelet of black-gold amazonite and the luster of labradorite with the power of copper and silver
Life's been a winding road -- isn't it always?
Welcome to my blog, where you'll travel winding roads of fantasy in art jewelry and in life. When I began this journey, I knew there'd be paths diverging in the woods and I'd wonder which one the Fates were marking for my footsteps. But there's always that grand adventure. I'll share a secret -- though I studied art, what I'm creating with my art jewelry is a gift. One morning I awakened from a dream with the concepts as clear as day. When I pick up the stones and wire and begin to work, what happens is something that cannot be explained. It just becomes. And then I know when it's complete. So come travel with me and I'll share the journey.
